Overview
I was born in Milan (Italy) in 1965 and I am still based in Milan, with my wife Gilda.
I have a degree in Electronic Engineering by Politecnico Milano in 1991; I spent more than one year in Turin in a technical laboratory to prepare the thesis on seminconductor lasers and optical fibers during 1990-1991.
Then I had the chance to start a new work type in one of the main Management Consulting Firms; so I spent more than 14 years in Accenture Italy in the Financial Services, up to Senior Manager. I faced different important projects and delivering programs of change and transformation in Italy and in Europe for the main banks.
Then I worked for BlueTeam as a free lance from 2006 to 2015, where we started a NewCo in Consulting and we had an organic grow from 4 to 40 people.
As now I am working in EY Advisory in Financial Services (FSO), Performance Improvement service line, with main focus on Banks. I continue to start and support the delivery of the projects, with main focus on project management activities and on functional themes. After over 25 yers of consultancy in Financial Services, I have a wide experience of bank's product, processes and IT technologies and medotologies in Italian and Europen context, on customer and regulatory sideI have a Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2013 (link).
I attend the Milan Order of Engeneers as I support the Commettee fot the Professional Cetritifcations ("Commissione di Certificazione e Qualificazione Professionale" - link)
EY Advisory (Financial Services, Performance Management) - Director
Since 2015, I have a role of Program / Project Manager in large project in IT Area, mainly in Credit domain (IFRS9, Non-Performing Loans, Unlikely-To-Pay) for Italian Banks. My main focus is on IT, but I still have a 360 degree view on business needs and processes.
EY ItalyBlueTeam - Director / Senior Manager
During 10 years from 2006 to 2015, I ad a role of Interim Manager, Program Manager or Project Manaegrt in IT Prjects,for banks based in Italy, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.
Main projects areas are credit risk management (CRO regulatory: Basel 2 and Basel 3), financial instruments mnagement (custody and settlment mainly, Swift) and payments (SEPA).
My main focus is on IT, but I still have a 360 degree view on business needs and processes. During these years I had to address Corporate Segment needs.
Accenture - Financial Services
I had a "mainline" growing path: IT Programmer, Technical Analyst, Functional Analyst, Process Designer, Manager in Process Area, Senior Manager in CRM Service Line. My main focus was on Finance and new retail channels (phone, internet)
The main projects in which I was involved were:
- IT migration to Host of Leasing System(1992-1994)
- New function analysis and development in banks in areas Securities and Foreign Trades (1994-1996)
- Start-up of a Call Center for a New Phone Bank with Internet Technologies and extention to direct Internet channel (1996-1999)
- Start-up of an Internet Bank for trading online (1999-2000) and business evolution / megres (Financial Adviser, asset management producs) (2002-2005); during these projects I focusd also on outsourcing of infra/extra-group services of IT and processes
- Plan of New Tools for Relationship Manager for 2 East Europe Banks (2003-2004) and evolution of the CFO DataWeraHouse for a Czech Bank (2004)
- Migration to Target platform for custody and Transfer Agend Services (2005)
- Business Continuity Requirements Evaluations (2005)
